Brief Overview:
This is your chance to create a project that deals with the issue of improving human health and wellness. Identify something in this topic that isn’t working in the world around you and look for a solution, however big or small.
We’re looking for solutions and provocations that have the potential to provoke action and have a genuine impact. Projects can be conceptual or have the potential to develop into real life-changing solutions.
My Solution:
KickOff clean is a social awareness campaign that connects smoking to football. The key concept was to raise awareness of the effects of smoking and the damage it can cause to the lungs. I connected smoking and football through lungs because having them in a good condition is vital to physical activity and smoking links to the health and wellbeing area of the brief.
Concept Research
I produced some imagery from various websites that linked the concept of a worn down football with a damaged lung. I found out that the colours are similar and that an idea could be connected. In addition, I had another idea where the football can get deflated and a lung can get punctured.
Overall for me the mood board was all about creating contrast between ideas and seeing how the imagery would look.
Finalised Logo
The logo will feature on all of the touch points, the poster, social media and the app. When I designed the logo, I wanted to connect the football theme with smoking so I made the logo as part of a football badge. I found this a success because I was gathering more and more assets for my campaign that can be used on all of my outcomes.
Poster Designs
I collected all of my final assets to put into a poster format That included the colour gradient, type choice and all of the campaign messages. I felt the poster was necessary for my campaign because the poster has a call to action with the aim for people to access the social media side and the app. I did this because I wanted people to engage in the campaign and not just listen to the messaging behind        the visuals.
My second part of my poster outcomes show the design in a more public setting. The leaflet format was interesting because at football matches, they give out leaflets all the time. The leaflets could be used as a free material for fans to collect, then they would most likely listen to the messages being the design.

Social Media Visuals
I wanted my social media to display a fun and engaging side to the online world. I put the logo on its side to show the effects of what your lungs could be like if you continue to smoke. The logos position going into the cracked hole, implies that fans smoking won’t see their club play, due to the consequences of their actions towards smoking. Similar to the poster outcome, the captions contain a hashtag that connects the call to action in the campaign (#KickOffClean).
Mobile App Outcomes
Throughout the app the user will find small football phases and quotes that a fan will experience during a match day or on social media. The homepage shows the main stats area of their account. This is through their financial side and how much nicotine they have consumed.
The user can sort that through the weekly or daily format. To add to the daily effect, they can register how many times they smoked either the day before or on that day if its later on in the evening. The app allows the user to edit and see their daily/weekly goals in which if they complete that then they will receive an award in the app for their achievements. This reinforces the football ideology that is integrated into the app.
